Connector used in TV Channel

n broadcast engineering industry, there have to use various connector and cable for different purpose. Here I will describe some connector with image and usage.
Connector # 1
Connector Name: XLR Connector
Usage: It is mainly used for audio signal connectivity.  Beside this it is used for stage lighting equipment,  low-voltage power supplies and other applications. It has 3 to 7 pins.

Connector # 2
Connector Name: BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman or British Naval Connector or Bayonet Nut Connector) Connector
Usage: BNC connector is attached to the ends of coaxial cables. It can be used for connecting RF signals, aerospace electronics and video (analog and digital) signals. It is the alternative to RCA for professional video. Home usage electronics appliance such as televisions and DVD players etc. have BNC connectors as long as RCA connector to deliver composite video.
Most commonly used BNC connector are two types depending on their impedence, 50 ohms and 75 ohms. These connector are matched with the cable of same characteristic impedance. Video (particularly HD video signals) use 75 ohm BNC connectors, whereas 50 ohm connectors are used for data and RF.

Difference between 50 and 75 Ohm BNC connectors: Dieletric material at the interface of the 75 Ohm version is absence. Another difference is 50 ohm impedance for applications up to 4 GHz and 75 ohm impedance up to 2 GHz.

Connector # 3
Connector Name: BNC inline coupler video connector or BNC I connector.
Usage: To connect two BNC male connector.

Connector # 4
Connector Name: BNC T Connector (BNC Male to BNC Double Female Splitter) 
Usage: To take video signal from one BNC male connector and transmit this same signal through two female BNC connector.

In satellite communication bandwidth (BW), symbol rate and bit rate are the most vital fact for proper signal transmission. Terminology: EIRP, G/T, Input Back-Off, Output Back-Off

  EIRP:   Used to indicate the power transmitted from an antenna. EIRP=Power +Antenna Gain, Both EIRP and Power is expressed in dBW and Gain in dBi. G/T:   It is the figure of merit for an earth station and is expressed as dB/K (dB per K). G/T= Antenna Gain-10*Log (System Noise Temperature) The higher the better-G/T can be raised by using a higher gain antenna or a lower temperature LNA. The earth station G/T determines the received carrier to noise ration. Increasing station G/T will increase the C/N of the received carrier. Input Back-Off (IPBO):   The level of a signal at the input of an amplifier relative to that level at the input that would result in the maximum possible output level. For example, if an input level of -20dBm causes max output and the actual input level is -25dBm, the IPBO is 5dB. Bit Error Rate (BER) and Roll Off Factor

Roll Off  Factor W hen a digital signal is modulated the output would be a waveform with the shape of sin(x)/x. Now this has an infinite bandwidth. So in order to be able to transmit this signal over satellite we need to filter it to reduce the occupied bandwidth. This is done by applying a "raised cosine roll-off filter". This filter is present both at the modulator output stage and at the input of the demodulator (I believe one says these filters are then matched). The steepness and the resulting occupied bandwidth can be set by the parameter roll-off factor.
